TORONTO, ON (September 22, 2021) – ACTRA congratulates Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party, as well as the newly elected Members of Parliament, on forming the next Government of Canada.
“ACTRA looks forward to working with all members of Canada’s 44th Parliament as we continue to move through the pandemic recovery period,” said ACTRA National President Eleanor Noble. “Federal parties talked about improving healthcare, creating jobs and a strong economy, tackling climate change, and supporting Canada’s cultural industries. It is imperative we continue building a recovery with workers at the heart of any government policy decisions. The inequalities and insecurities experienced by Canadian workers must be addressed to ensure no one is left behind.”
Canadians have sent a clear message by electing another minority government. Now it is time for all elected representatives to put their differences aside and work together to create real change for Canadians. ACTRA looks forward to supporting our elected representatives so we can build a stronger country inclusive of all Canadian workers.
